The tender procedure for the selection of the contractor of the Druskininkai Culture Centre is currently underway, works by the Public Procurement Commission of the Druskininkai Municipality Administration. In order to make a high-quality task for the cultural life of Lithuania and Druskininkai, the ranking works of the Druskininkai Culture Centre would be carried out qualitatively, the administration of the Druskininkai municipality decided to use biased experts to evaluate the proposals submitted to the contractor's works tender (with particular focus on acoustic, video solutions).
At a meeting of municipal leaders and specialists last week, the municipality's administration director Vilma Jurgelevičienė noted that the submitted tender proposals will be assessed by competent external experts in order to achieve maximum quality. “Druskininkai aims to develop cultural tourism at international level, to invite famous performers, to organize events that meet top foreign standards. In order to build a multifunctional, modern, customised, modern space, the opinion of professional external experts is very important," said V. Jurgelevičienė.
The design work of the Druskininkai Cultural Centre is finished in April of 2018. Experience in the construction and installation of similar world-class objects with international experts has been consulted during the preparation of the technical project.
The project has repeatedly been presented at the national level, the members of the Republic of Lithuania Seimas (Parlament) Committee on Culture, the ministries and members of the government.
The project will be financed by the Druskininkai Municipality, the European Union and the State Investment Programme. The duration of the project is 3 years, its end is scheduled for 2021. In the same year, a particularly important event will be organized in Druskininkai – XI World Lithuanian Sports Games.
